BUILD WITH STEEL Workshop at Warsaw University of Technology

On November 6th, 2017 at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology. That was the first workshop held as part of the BUILD WITH STEEL Program.

In the meeting 80 students participated. Event was opened by Bartłomiej Baudler, Managing Director of KERSTEN EUROPE sp. z o.o., a company which is one of the partners of the BUILD WITH STEEL Program. After a brief discussion the speech was taken by dr inż. Wioleta Barcewicz. The issue of steel structure design using the SKILLS training modules was discussed.

All modules of the SKILLS project are available on the website of Polish Chamber of Steelwork www.piks.com.pl and on www.budujzestali.pl.

After a short coffee break, students took part in a drawing of gift sets, funded by BUILD WITH STEEL Program Partners – BLACHY PRUSZYŃSKI sp. z o.o. and Polish Chamber of Steelwork. Then the presentation was given by Marcin Cabała from Construsoft sp. z o.o. There where presented in detail the possibilities of designing steel structures using Tekla Structures and Trimble Connect.
